DCRT will retire the Enterprise Print Services (EPS) on the NIH Computer Center’s South system on August 2, 1998, in favor of TSPRINT. As of August 3, 1998, TSPRINT will be the only network printing service.
This change in support for
network printing facilities will provide better service to more users.
The move should be virtually painless for users. TSPRINT is already available
to WYLBUR and batch users. Give it a try—see how easy it is!
Printers for NIH’s Administrative Data Base (ADB) system will be gradually moved from EPS to TSPRINT between now and August. ADB users should not notice any change as a result of this move.
Before August 3, you will definitely need to remove ‘NIHEPS’ or ‘NIHEPS1’ from any command. TASC is available to help you with any questions about this change.
