Registration Reports—Easy Access via the Web

Agency coordinators and RACF coordinators can now use a registration facility—based on CIT's web-based Secure Internet LinKed (SILK) technology—to see and print reports, as well as to manage account registration. The variety of reports that can be initiated—and immediately viewed—on any web browser makes this facility a useful tool for coordinators.

This new web registration facility is intuitive and can be run by simply bringing up the "Coordinator" from the North system's webpage, filling in a few items of information, and clicking a radio button. The standard features of a web browser (e.g., print, save) are available. Copies of registration reports can also be printed on mainframe or local printers.

This reporting system accesses the mainframe ADABAS registration database and takes advantage of the powerful search and reporting capabilities of ADABAS.

Registration Information Is Secure

The first time that the coordinator page is accessed from a web browser, a security "pop-up" window prompts for a userid and password. Only coordinators with a valid userid and password will be allowed to see registration data (including status of each account) for their agency code. RACF security protects all North system databases from unauthorized access.

Who Can Access Web Coordinator?

Any North system coordinator with a web browser can access registration reports on the Web. Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers are supported, as are some other browsers. If you are a North system coordinator, connect to http://silkad.nih.gov/coordinator and start using web registration reporting.

For more information concerning SILK Web technology on the North system, see our webpage at http://silkad.nih.gov or call TASC.
