CIT to Modify Billing Periods with the July Invoice
CIT is moving from our current practice of invoicing based on calendar months to invoicing based on accounting billing periods. The new billing period will cover activity from the 22nd day of the previous month to the 21st day of the current month.
Changing the invoicing period will allow us to process more charges in the month in which they occur-for example, you will be able to see your OC 25.3Q charges (all CIT services excluding Telecom) by the end of the month. It will also move us into line with accounting practices more generally accepted across the government.
When Does this Change Take Effect?
Your June invoice will cover only June 1 through June 21. The July invoice will cover June 22 through July 21. From then on, all invoices will cover data collected from the 22nd through the 21st period.
