Change to Titan E-mailNow via the NIH Mail Forwarding Servers
Beginning July 25, 2005, e-mail from Titan will no longer be delivered directly to the recipients. Instead, all e-mail sent from Titan will be transmitted via the NIH Mail Forwarding servers.
Reducing Risk
This change is being made to reduce the risk of malicious e-mail. E-mail servers are among the most common mechanisms (mis-)used to carry out various computer attacks. Restricting inbound and outbound e-mail traffic to appropriately managed, dedicated e-mail servers will greatly reduce the security risk to NIH.
Transparent to All Users
This modification to the handling of Titan e-mail should be transparent to all customers and does not require coding changes.
Experiencing Problems?
Anyone experiencing problems receiving e-mails from Titan after July 25th should contact the NIH Help Desk at 301-496-4357.
