Support for PostScript Printing to Be Dropped in May
PostScript printing will no longer be available on the OS/390 South system as of May 18, 2003. Use of this service has declined dramatically in recent years, and the vendor no longer supports the software required to run it.
PostScript is a widely used protocol and available today on many desktop printers. When CIT first offered this service, desktop printers often did not have this printing capability and were much slower than those available now.
