2. Logon to Titan (TSO)Changes
Because of vendor support concerns, Milten and TCAM TSO -- the two methods for accessing WYLBUR on the South system -- are not available on Titan. All access to TSO on Titan is via the full-screen (3270) TSO.
How to Add a Titan session to QWS3270
You will need to add a new session for QWS3270 access to Titan.
- Start QWS3270.
- When the "Connect" window appears, click on the "Add" button.
- Enter a name for your new session (e.g., Titan) and click "OK."
- The "Session Settings" window will appear. At the "Host Settings" screen, set the "Host Name" to tn3270.titan.nih.gov.
- Click "Apply."
- For additional settings such as font and colors, see the on-line help. Click on "Connect" to initiate the TSO session.
- When you made a connection to Titan, you will see the menu of mainframe services. You should select NIHTSO to access TSO on Titan (see below).
- For subsequent use, double click on the QWS3270 icon, select the session name and click on the "Connect" button.
Note: If you are currently using QWS3270 with scripts, the scripts will need to be changed.
3270 Logon Screen
On Titan the 3270-type access logon screen differs from the South system screen. When you get to the Application Selection screen, you will need to type NIHTSO on the command line (the lines that looks like ==>) to access Titan -- as shown below.
If you enter your USERid in the second field on the command line, Titan displays the TSO/E LOGON screen, where you can enter your password. If not, Titan prompts you for your USERid and then displays the TSO/E LOGON screen, shown below.------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EMSP03 Application Selection Help: 17-6666 Term : TCP40042 Date: 06/27/02 Time : 12:50:30 User: TCP40042 Group : ALLUSERS Esc PA2 Cmd PF10 Prefix $$ Print PF24 Broadcast: Printer: Name-----Status-M/B-JmpK | Name-----Status-M/B-JmpK | Name-----Status-M/B-JmpK ACSWYL 12:59 PA2 | | CDCNET 11:29 PA2 | | CICSPROD 07:59 PA2 | | CICSTST1 12:59 PA2 | | DB2 10:24 PA2 | | IMS 11:29 PA2 | | IMSTEST 20:00 PA2 | | M204PROD 20:00 PA2 | | M204TEST 12:59 PA2 | | NIHTSO 11:29 PA2 | | TMONCICS 12:59 PA2 | | TMONTCP 11:29 PA2 | | TSOSOUTH 11:29 PA2 | | | | - Enter application name or a command.
