SSH Client Upgrade
On May 31, 2009, CIT will upgrade the version of the SSH clients used to transmit files to or from Titan. You can start to use the new version now by making the following changes, as indicated for the specific TSO command you currently use.
If your current TSO command is SSH2EXEC
If the TSO command you currently use is SSH2EXEC, simply change the command to SSH3EXEC. This will cause the new version of the clients to be used without requiring any other changes. After May 31st, the command SSH2EXEC will no longer be available.
If your current TSO command is OSHELL
If the TSO command you currently use is OSHELL, you can either:
1) |
use the SSH3EXEC TSO command instead of the OSHELL TSO command OR |
2) |
if you wish to continue using the OSHELL TSO command and you currently use scp or scp2 as one of the OSHELL command parameters, use scpg3 instead; if you currently use sftp or sftp2, use sftpg3 instead. After May 31st, all of these parameters will cause the V6 client to be executed. |
