South System Tapes Must Go By November 1, 2004
Six months after the South system shut down on January 12, 2004, tapes still remain in the old South system tape library. CIT has been contacting South system tape owners to determine how to dispose of the tapes.
We are trying to allow tape owners sufficient time to determine what they want done with these tapes, but time is running out. You must notify CIT by November 1, 2004, what you want done with any tapes remaining in the South tape library. Your options are:
After November 1, Owners Will Be Charged $50
After November 1, 2004, tapes remaining in the South system tape library will be mailed to the owner and the appropriate account charged.
To see what tapes you may have left in the South system tape library, please go to Web Tape. To purchase a tape, go to Export South Tapes.
Since the identification of owners and the location of mailing addresses will be time consuming, the charge for each tape after November 1 will be $50. Until that timeand to avoid the last minute rushtapes can be purchased for $10 plus shipping.
If you have any questions, please contact the TASC help desk at 301-594-6248.
