VPS to Be Discontinued on the South System This Summer
All VPS printers defined on the South system are now defined on the Titan system as well. Since the ADB moved from the South system to Titan, the amount of VPS printing on the South system has been greatly reduced.
VPS printing will not be available on the South system after August 17, 2003, as part of the process of phasing out the South system.
In order to continue to use VPS on Titan from the South system, users will need to specify more than just "printername." You should now:
| Specify | In | |
| | NIHJES2.printername | batch jobs |
| | printername@NIHJES2 | WYLBUR list offline commands |
This change can be made immediately, and will still work after you have moved to Titan. Make the transition now, and avoid a last minute rush.
Further information is available on the Titan transition Web sitego to the "South System Specifics" page on printing. Customers who need help in modifying their WYLBUR list offline commands or JCL are encouraged to call TASC at (301) 594-6248.
Keep Up to Date on the Transition
